Moshupya hopes to extend her business
She was inspired by her passion for art to establish her own beauty salon.

Being a nail technician has always been what I love the most because it allows me to express my creativity through intricate designs and beautiful nail art.
The satisfaction I feel when my clients leave with a smile on their faces knowing that I’ve helped them feel confident and beautiful is truly rewarding.
I started my business in 2021. I work for UJ Salon at Doornfontein Campus. I love the arts and anything that has to do with beauty. I am always captivated by the creativity and expression that art offers. Exploring different art forms allows me to appreciate the diverse perspectives and emotions that artists convey through their work.
I get ideas for new nail designs from watching Tik Tok and YouTube and each time I am amazed by the creativity and talent of nail artists showcased on these platforms. The variety of techniques and styles they demonstrate inspires me to try something new and unique with my nail designs.
Being close to the University of Johannesburg means that students are my target market, and the absence of students during varsity breaks hurts business.
