Head of operations at ELF Patrol Lauren Ivey stated that the patrol is a community driven effort that recognises the dedication and sacrifice of the Fairland SAPS, CPF victim support team, and the various reaction companies, including their control room staff and fire crews, who work on Christmas Day. “While many of us are celebrating with loved ones, these teams are out keeping our neighbourhood safe. Through appreciation parcels, a hearty Christmas meal and festive goodies, the EFL Patrol aims to show that their commitment does not go unnoticed.”
Ivey thanked the community for their incredible generosity, but, for the next step, to prepare and package the appreciation parcels, they are asking for extra festive hands to assist. “Everyone and anyone who is available is warmly welcome, even if it is just for a little while.
