The event created a platform for older residents to engage directly with law enforcement and several government entities about issues affecting them in their communities. Some seniors travelled from as far as Carletonville to attend the gathering, eager to share their concerns and experiences.

Representatives from Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD), the office of the public protector, and the South African Human Rights Commission were among those present to listen and engage with attendees.
