Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo suspends services for holiday

JCPZ will temporarily close burial and cremation services over the upcoming public holidays, giving staff a well-earned break.

Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo (JCPZ) has announced that burial and cremation services will not be available on April 3 and April 6 due to the upcoming public holidays.

The entity said its teams work throughout the week, including weekends, to deliver dignified and efficient cemetery and crematoria services across Johannesburg.

This short break will provide staff with a much-needed and well-earned opportunity to rest and spend time with their families after sustained periods of service delivery.

The organisation remains committed to supporting all communities during this period. Muslim burials will continue to be accommodated with arrangements managed directly through the Johannesburg Muslim Burial societies, in line with religious requirements for timely interment.

Funeral directors and members of the public are encouraged to submit requests by contacting the JCPZ office during standard working hours on 011 712 6600. The team will assist in facilitating bookings prior to the affected dates.
