2 injured due to taxi brake failure on Marian Road in Craighall Park

Mother and daughter were taken to Halen Joseph hospital after a taxi lost its brakes on Marian road.

A taxi carrying 15 passengers crashed into a property on Marian Road on the night of April 16 after the driver lost control due to brake failure.

Driver Nkosisanthi Shabalala said the vehicle was moving at speed when the brakes did not respond. He tried to slow down and steer away from the property, but could not stop the taxi.

Two passengers (a mother and daughter) were injured and taken to the hospital.

The property owner, who was inside the house at the time, did not witness the incident.
