Helping the poorest of the poor

Best Buy Cash & Carry is the epicentre of the donations drive for Covid-19-affected families and individuals today (April 28).

The poorest of the poor will be receiving gift hampers containing essential foodstuffs, hygiene products and hand sanitizer. The donation drive is being co-ordinated by Alfred Duma Local Municipality, together with the Al-Imdaad Foundation, Sanzef, Alhifizat Women’s Forum, the Gift of the Givers and Tzu-Chi Foundation.

Municipal Manager Sibusisiwe Sixolile Ngiba, Deputy Mayor Thuli Hadebe, Busi Madonsela from Operation Sukuma Sakhe and Al-Imdaad Foundation special projects co-ordinator Abed Karrim.

“We are delivering grocery hampers to the needy from April 28 to May 7,” explained the deputy mayor.
