7th Annual Blackrock Casino Car Show

Car enthusiasts can look forward to a thrilling day of revving engines, exhilarating sound and hundreds of cars to feast their eyes on at the 7th Annual Blackrock Casino Car Show on Saturday, August 30.

Hosted in conjunction with Supersonic, this year’s show will feature a Sound off Competition, and a Show ‘n Shine Competition, giving car-owners a chance to show-off their vehicle mods.

As always, it will be a family-friendly event with loads of other activities including a Crossfit Challenge, Arm Wrestling, spinning, a Kids Zone, live DJs, dancers, food and refreshments.

The main attraction is the drifting, which will be a first in Newcastle. It all unfolds in the Blackrock Casino parking lot from 10am. The entrance fee is R40 per adult and R20 per child under 13 years.

Car enthusiasts are called to enter their prides and joy in the Sound and Show ‘n Shine competitions. The cost to enter is R150 per car, per category. Registrations for the competition are open from 9am to 3pm, with the prize-giving taking place at 7pm in the Casino’s Conference Centre.

Due to the spin area and drift track, limited car entries will be received for the sound off and Show ‘n Shine competition.
