Hoisting the flag for the Divine Mother Marriamam

Shanti Nivas hosted an evening of rich, spiritual significance last Wednesday.

In preparation of the fire walking ceremony on Friday, July 31, the temple hosted a flag hoisting event for devotees.

This marked the beginning of the period for prayers and fasting, required to attain the spiritual level for fire walking.

The fire walking ceremony revolves around offering devotion, love and thankfulness to the Divine Mother Marriaman.

The community is invited to the event on Friday set to start at 6pm.

On August 2, a Marriaman Pooja will be held.

From now until the Marriaman Pooja, daily satsangs, hawan, abishegams and special recitations to the Divine Mother will be conducted at 6pm, 102 Montague Street.
