Kilian Academy – First lady takes top honours

THE past week saw the second Kilian Academy kickboxers grade towards their first level in kickboxing.

The first four months consist of basic kickboxing techniques, which students have to master to ensure that they progress to their next level.

The students who obtained their white patch in kickboxing are as follows: Karma van Wyk; Cobus van Wyk; Heinrich Matthee; Arno Bellringer and André du Plessis.

Karma van Wyk and Heinrich Matthee took top honours and achieved 70%. Karma van Wyk is also the first female student to grade to her next level at the Academy.

“Our first lady from our ladies group was awarded her first rank, which will serve to motivate our female students.” said Abrie Kilian, head instructor at the Academy.
