Striving to assist those in need, Leon Motors Shell hosted a golf day in aid of Morester Children’s Home on Saturday.

Clinton Sweeting from Shell said it was the first golf day for charity the fuelling station held. “I felt it was important to help the children’s home.”

Mr Sweeting assured all funds raised, from entrance fees to the selling of raffles, would go towards Morester.

Ria Naudè from Morester was delighted by the gesture. “This was the first time for them. I am happy Shell chose us and that people wanted to help the home financially.”

With the sun beating down and not a rain cloud in sight, the day was an enjoyable excursion for the golfers.
