NHS celebrates their matric farewell under the Vegas spotlight – 2

Newcastle High School matriculants celebrated their matric farewell at the Black Rock Casino on Friday night in true Vegas style

A symbolic walk was undertaken in the blazing midday heat from the school around the Glenridge area by those who gathered at the school from Durban and around the country.

Mrs A Achambit, chairperson of the ML Sultan Glencoe Secondary Governing Body, and current teacher, Mrs Zulu, accept a trophy from the Class of 1986 representatives, Sanjay Mathraparsad and Ronnie Pillay, in memory of five matric 1986 students who have since passed on.

The past matrics remembered the senior citizens of the town and fed them lunch at the school before gathering in the evening at the ABH Home for a form reunion dinner.
