Sinothando reaches out

THE SINOTHANDO Non-Profit Organisation held an event in memory of the six children who drowned during a flooding in Bhekuzulu in 2006 late last year.

At the time, the NPO was also seeking financial assistance in order to erect a tombstone as a memorial for the children.

The tombstone would be placed somewhere in Bhekuzulu, at a suitable place where members of the community, as well as the families of the deceased could see the memorial and remember them.

After working hard to raise funds, members of the NPO were able to raise enough money to buy a tombstone with the names of all the young men and women engraved on it and it was placed near the stadium in Old Location.

Members would like to thank all those who contributed towards making the memorial possible and all those who were present on the day it was erected.
