The nail biting, adrenaline pumping action kept everyone on the edge of their seats.

Throughout the day, TV personality, Vic Pardal kept the vibe going with his quirky jokes and awesome presence on the mic.

At the end of the day, local reigned supreme.

Team KwaZulu-Natal emerged victorious as the overall province winner, although the day was about far more than provincial pride.

Petrolheads were spoiled with excellent performances from teenage spinners including Ramone from Sunshine Motors in Dundee and Zameer Cassim of Y&Sons from Polokwane.

Cosmic Transport, DHM, WBO Civils and Coin-it, all of which are owned by Malcolm De Beer, were the proud sponsors of Newcastle Spin City.

De Beer said the mission was to bring excitement and family fun to Newcastle.

He said the group had also expanded the seating capacity of the spinning track at DHM (old Venco facility), and would continue to make improvements to allow more enthusiasts to become enthralled by the world of spinning.
