Indulgent baked goodies such as savoury muffins, milk tarts, carrot cakes, cupcakes, crunchies, date loaves and even jams and pickles decked the tables last Friday.

Sindy Joseph supported the worthy cause.

Even though the cake sale began at 9am, people were in the queue from 8.30am, pointing out their choices.

The cake sale is held once every two months in aid of the Estcourt Hospice Association.

A whopping R5 150 was made.

Bridget Tresise bagged herself homemade rusks and marmalade.

All the proceeds raised go towards the association that offers free palliative care to patients and their family members suffering chronic or life-threatening illnesses.

“The cake sale was very good. We are very blessed with the ladies who bake and the community support. Thank you Estcourt,” shared Belinda Smith, Estcourt Hospice Association fundraiser.
