Winning day for Luke Schiever

Luke scored a double victory with the Mortimer Motors Group Monthly Mug and the Brokenshas Multi-franchise award

The Mortimer Motors Group September Monthly Mug was played on Saturday (September 3).

First in the medal competition on a count-out of nett 69 was Luke Schiever. Second (also on 69 nett) was Dr Willem Erasmus and in third place on a five-way count-out of nett 72 was Sam Sewsunker.

In the Stableford competition, first was Luke on a count-out of 39 points over Willem in second and Sam in third on a five-way count-out of 36 points.

Mayur Baboolal claimed fourth position, also on 36 points. Nkosi  Khuzwayo walked off with the Gerry’s Motors closest to the pin on no. 2 for 2 with an excellent wedge approach.

Melton Schiever was closest on no. 3. The two-club prize fund was shared by Melton and Owen Mcluckie on no. 3, and Sam on no. 16.

Luke Schiever also claimed the jackpot on 10 points.

The much-coveted Brokenshas Multi-Franchise award for the day’s best gross was Luke Schiever on a score of 73.
