A full day of fast-paced action, community spirit and family fun unfolded on Saturday when Vryheid Rugby Club hosted a 7-a-side tournament. The tournament included hockey, rugby and soccer action.
The event was held on the club’s fields and drew a lively crowd of fans who gathered to cheer on their favourite teams. The tournament created a festive atmosphere, showcasing the local talent and teamwork that is synonymous with Vryheid’s sporting culture.
Matches were played back-to-back throughout the day, with players ranging from high school teams to local social clubs. The fast-paced 7-a-side games made for a thrilling and action-packed day that kept all the spectators on their feet. Vryheid Rugby Club chairperson Richard Pace indicated that the club will most probably host another similar event in the future.
