Trends to look out for in 2016
The fashion world dares to stir an attraction to bending boundaries with a spark of bold identity

2016 digital predictions
Mobile will continue to make an impact as many digital advancements will be made in 2016, from the rise of mobile messaging apps to mobile commerce gaining momentum.
Mobile Payments will fully kick-off: 2016 will see a swap of cash and credit or debit cards to a tap or scan of a smartphone. Mobile wallets become a standard feature on newer smartphones and more retailers will accept such payments from systems like Apple Pay, Android Pay, and Samsung Pay etc. But changing the payment behaviour from physical payments to digital won’t be easy considering offers of coupons, rewards cards and loyalty points.
Mobile Commerce moves down: Mobile is seen as more of an influencer with mobile transactions making up only a tiny portion of overall sales. That’s going to change in 2016, thanks to moves by the biggest digital companies, Apple, Google, Microsoft, Facebook and Amazon, to simplify the transition from mobile shopping to mobile buying. As more connected devices go online and as overall connectivity between people increases, more people especially the youth will give up increasingly more of their personal data to marketers and publishers.
Facebook will become nearly entirely mobile: Remember when everyone thought Facebook couldn’t make money off of mobile? In 2015, 78% of its revenue worldwide came from mobile. Facebook will now pay attention to another Facebook mobile stat: just how many of its users access Facebook only via a mobile device.

Media trends to watch out for in 2016
The traditional press release is no more. Just as communication evolves and the needs of the audience shifts, so should media practices.
The age of the standard press release is no more. Unless you’re Apple, or you have some truly ground-breaking product. If you’re continuing to write and distribute traditional press releases to journalists and media outlets to get them to cover your news you’re wasting your resources.
Take advantage of social media, develop relationships with industry leaders and influencers, and incorporate quality visuals in your messages to get the attention of journalists and outlets that can help you spread your message. And it all starts with the quality of the content you’re trying to get in front of your audience.
