Cycling for charity

The 12 riders are part of Round Table and are raising funds for the needy through the Cycle Charity Challenge

Cyclists on their way from Johannesburg to Durban for charity stopped off in Ladysmith over the weekend and were welcomed by the Ladysmith branch of Trellidor.
The 12 riders are part of Round Table and are raising funds for the needy through the Cycle Charity Challenge. They stopped at the Town Hall on Saturday, where they were met by representatives of Ladysmith Trellidor.
This is because Trellidor is one of the main sponsors of this cycling event.
In Ladysmith, the cyclists were given energy drinks and burgers for their efforts.
They were also presented with a cheque from Trellidor Ladysmith to go towards their fund-raising.
In addition, Trellidor handed over a donation to Môrester Children’s Home and the cyclists got to meet some of the children at the home. One of the riders, Kevin Bonner, commented that, “It’s been quite an experience. We’ve ridden through mud and rain, but it’s been fantastic. I’m cold outside but warm inside, knowing that all the proceeds go straight to needy kids.”
