Fake diamond dealers jump from moving vehicle

Two alleged diamond dealers were injured after jumping from a moving vehicle yesterday.

It is believed the man who they defrauded, was attempting to take them to the police station after a meeting was set up to ‘acquire more diamonds’.

Due to the vehicle’s doors being locked, the three masterminded a plan to jump from the window, but only two were successful, and could not escape due to the extent of their injuries.

Paramedics from ER24 and EMS treated both the injured men for injuries sustained before transporting them to hospital. The third was arrested by police.

The man led police to the suspects’ vehicle where one of the injured’s driver’s license was found as well as a small amount of the simulated stones.

The victim has opened a charge against the three men.
