Municipality appoints acting director for Water Services
Municipal manager, Kebone Masange, said that it is important that an experienced professional run Water Services in Newcastle.
The Newcastle municipality welcomed Max Pawandiwa to the Technical Services department this month.
Mr Pawandiwa, the former general manager for Water Services in the Ugu District, was recently appointed acting director of the Water Operations and Planning Department.
This department has been in operation since the Newcastle municipality took over the provision of reticulation and sanitation services from uThukela Water.
Municipal manager, Kebone Masange, impressed the importance of having the Water Operations and Planning Department run by an experienced professional to curtail the problems previously experienced with regards to water services.
