Community joins forces to clean up Dundee and Glencoe
Volunteers and children from Sibongile and Sithemile are helping tackle litter and neglected areas as part of a community clean-up campaign.
Community members have joined forces to clean up sections of Dundee and Glencoe, aiming to improve public health and keep neighbourhoods free of waste.
The campaign, founded by Dudu Nkosi, has brought together volunteers and children from Sibongile and Sithembile, with clean-ups taking place in residential areas and parts of the central business district.
Working towards healthier communities
Nkosi said the initiative aims to improve conditions for both people and animals while helping to reduce the risk of disease.
Volunteers have been working together to remove litter and clean up neglected areas, while encouraging more community members to get involved.
She thanked Orange Grove Dairy for supporting the campaign by providing Maas, yoghurt and juices for the volunteers.
Campaign to continue
Nkosi said the clean-up project would continue as part of efforts to promote cleaner and healthier communities throughout the Endumeni district.
