Another burst pipe in Agra Road
Residents in the area woke up to find a river of water flowing down the road and a veritable swimming pool around the area of the leak

The water pipe in Agra Road burst again on Friday morning. Residents in the area woke up to find a river of water flowing down the road and a veritable swimming pool around the area of the leak.
“The water was bubbling out of the burst pipe and the water pressure could be felt on the ground,” said one Agra Road resident. People in the area say they are tired of the pipe not being fixed properly, and they want to know why it is that this problem can’t be fixed once and for all.
A mother who lives in Agra Road commented that, “It is hard for us to wake up in the mornings to find there is no water coming out of our taps. How do we get our children ready for school?”
Motorists are also complaining, saying they either have to drive through the water or over people’s yards to get around it. Some people with smaller cars have to turn around and go back the way they came. The hole in the ground is over a metre deep (one resident measured it with a stick to see just how deep it really is).
