Another accident waiting to happen
"Many school children have to walk past this area on their way to and from school. They are unable to walk on the grass verge due to it being obstructed; therefore they walk on the road’s edge. As seen on last week’s front page, another child’s life was nearly lost due to a manhole not being covered."

Another accident waiting to happen can be seen at the corner of Brickhill Road and Good Street.
This is an open storm water drain, which one resident says has been left neglected for months.
“Many school children have to walk past this area on their way to and from school. They are unable to walk on the grass verge due to it being obstructed; therefore they walk on the road’s edge.
As seen on last week’s front page, another child’s life was nearly lost due to a manhole not being covered,” commented the resident. The alert resident also uncovered and photographed another section of badly damaged road.
The centre curb on the corner of Hellet and Martin roads is badly damaged and in need of urgent repair.
“This road is close to the entrance of Estcourt High School, this is also a busy intersection where high volumes of cars and taxis pass each day,” said the resident.
She hopes that the authorities would consider giving these repairs immediate attention.
