Youth group aims to make a difference, and they need YOU!
The group survives on donations - sometimes the leaders have to take money out of their pockets to fund some of the activities they do for the youth. Many times this is impossible.

Members of Youth for Jesus have established a church group for school-going children to teach them the Word of God, and also through them reach out to the needy people of Endumeni.
In the past two years the group has struggled with a place to operate from, as well as transport, as many of the young children come from Glencoe.
“It has been hard for the past few years, using people’s premises, which limits us from doing many things we wish to do,” said Monica van Dyk, a member of the group.
She said it normally takes an hour to collect all the children from Glencoe, and another hour to off-load them to their homes, and the transport is getting heavier. They are only assisted by a person whom they happen to know.
They wish to find a place in Glencoe as it will be within walking distance for most of their members and will cut transport costs, and only one trip will be made for those who live in Dundee.

Monica Van Dyk explained that Youth for Jesus is a group for every school-going child in Endumeni, irrespective of colour. They have two groups: one from ages six years up to ten years, and the second is from 11 to 15 years. She said although their main focus is teaching the Word of God, they also make it more fun. “We have a camp that we organise every year for the youth, and many other activities.”
The group meets up every Friday. According to the leaders the group is open to all school-going children, and anyone who want to be part of the leadership must be a person who accepts Jesus as his Saviour.
