IF YOU go down to the Paddadam today, be sure of a nasty surprise.
The playground area at the Paddadam, which should be a cheerful sight, is approximately ankle-deep, in places, in what appears to be sewage, which has been pumping out of the drain since Monday.
Local residents allegedly noticed the foul odour emanating from the park on Monday, December 2 and reported the matter to the Abaqulusi Municipality on more than one occasion, they say.
According to the municipality, the lady who deals with these complaints is not there at the moment and they are short-staffed, but will attend to the matter as soon as possible.
So hold your nose and pack your gumboots if you're planning a visit to the park.
