Public pool under scrutiny
Is Vryheid's public swimming pool ready for the Summer rush?
ALTHOUGH the weather has been somewhat temperamental of late, and most days have perhaps felt a little wintry, to a certain degree, December in South Africa is well known for its scorching summer weather.
Many people will be donning their swimming attire and heading for the public swimming pool in the weeks to come. There has, however been some confusion regarding the operation of said public swimming pool recently.
According to a source at the public pool, they are fully equipped to deal with the busy period over December, albeit their pump was not fully functional at the time of questioning, but was being repaired and would be ready within a day or so.
The public swimming pool is open from Monday to Saturday, between the hours of 10:00am and 6:00pm, and on Sundays from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. It is closed on Wednesdays, as this is the designated day for treatment of the water.
