Good homes wanted
There are still some pets at the kennels desperate to go back home
The Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) is happy to report that there were no cases of abuse over the festive season.
However, many animals ran away from home when the fireworks went off during New Year celebrations. Most of these animals have been found and claimed by their owners. There are still some pets at the kennels desperate to go back home so if you have lost a loved one, please visit the kennels to see if they are there.
There are also many adorable pets looking for good homes, so go and pick out your new best friend today! Gina is a Jack Russell cross that was found abandoned in a box. She has been spayed and has very good toilet manners. She is in need of a kind and loving home. Jacko is a male hunting dog who is mild mannered and just wants to be loved. There is also a black and white male kitten named Pepper who is very affectionate and wants to be a part of your family! His sister was recently adopted and now he also wants a good home.
There are two black male Labradors who were found in Wilimse Street on December 28. One had a green collar on and the other a brown collar. If they belong to you, please collect them urgently. You will have until next week to claim them or these gorgeous labs will be re-homed. A male Jack Russell cross Staffie wearing a blue collar was picked up in Convent Road. It is believed that he ran away during the fireworks. Please collect this sweet baby if he belongs to you. A male Chow Chow was found in Poort Road. He is sick and wants to go home, so please collect him if he is your pet.
Thanks go out to Mrs King, Spar, Pierre Massyn, Buy & Save, and Mr and Mrs Richardson for their donations.
