Missing street names an issue

While most Newcastilians know their way around town and various suburbs, missing street signs are causing frustration.

In Aviary Hill, more than six street signs are missing. Amajuba Park has a number of street signs missing as well, and even more are so faded that they are almost undecipherable.

In Lennoxton, more than four street names are missing and Paradise also has its fair share of empty street name posts.

Whether caused by neglect or vandalism, missing street signs are problematic, especially in life-threatening emergencies.

The municipality was contacted for comment, but none was forthcoming at the time of going to press.
