Hazardous hole finally filled

Although it took some time since work commenced last year beneath the pavement in Landdrost Street, outside of the shop of Sajjad Mohammed (Vryheid Herald, January 31), it appears that Mr. Mohammed's nightmare may soon be over. It is quite clear that the gaping hole that once posed a threat to passers by is in the process of being filled, and that the electrical box, which once stood open, wires exposed, has now been closed. Mr. Mohammed has breathed a sigh of relief and is looking forward to seeing his business recover from the damage which was incurred by the hazardous hole over the festive season.
