Emadoshini gets a revamp

ON TUESDAY, February 4 the AbaQulusi Mayor Cllr P Khaba together with Ward 13 councillor, G Nkohla, officially opened the project for the tarring and paving of the Emadoshini roads.

The community members who have been making use of these dust roads for more than eight years will finally see development.

The municipality joined forces with Glenda Constructions to bring forth this programme which is said to have been worth R6 million.

According to the Mayor, the project will not take more than five months and will provide job opportunities to residents in Ward 13.

Seven community members from Ward 13 were selected as part of a committee that will supervise the project and ensure that everything runs smoothly.

Ward councillor G Nkohla said that the start of this project was great news for those living in Emadoshini as many residents had to travel quite far to reach the main road where they waited for public transport, but things will be easier for them now as taxis will be able to drive into their streets.

The councillor also thanked all the community members for coming out in their numbers to the launch of this project.
