Stink in Smartiesville
The general consensus is that the municipality should make sure rubbish is dumped much further away from people's homes
Smartiesville residents are fed up with the unbearable stink that hangs in the air every day in the area.
The source of the disgusting stench is evidently the dump yard that is close by. “It’s so awful that we can’t even go outside in the fresh air, because there isn’t any fresh air anymore. There’s just a rotten smell that makes our daily lives unbearable! The municipality should do something about it in the interests of hygiene, because surely this state of affairs is not healthy,” said one very upset resident.
The general consensus is that the municipality should make sure rubbish is dumped much further away from people’s homes.
“They (municipality) should be thinking about our quality of life. This is obviously not the case though, because people’s health is being compromised. There are children and old people living in the area, so this is really unacceptable,” said another concerned resident.
