Abusekho Ubunzima Uniform hand-over

The Abusekho Ubunzima Foundation (AUF) expressed its deepest love by donating brand new school uniforms within two different circuits in the Amajuba District on February 14

Valentine’s Day is marked every year as the day on which many celebrate their love for others, and share special gifts with their loved ones. The Abusekho Ubunzima Foundation (AUF) expressed its deepest love by donating brand new school uniforms within two different circuits in the Amajuba District on February 14.
Abusekho Ubunzima, which in English translates to ‘no more hardships’, believes that when learners have new uniforms they will focus on schooling instead of worrying about problems that are beyond their control.
This will ultimately decrease the dropout rate, which is high in rural or poverty-stricken communities.
The visit saw learners from ten different rural schools benefiting from brand new uniforms.
The uniforms were donated by members of The World of Praise Church International (WOPCI), also supported by other generous individuals.
Items included school shirts, jerseys, long and short trousers, skirts, socks and shoes.
Working together with the schools, AUF was able to get information about the different school colours and children’s sizes prior to the hand-over day. There were two handover sessions: one in Normandien, which was hosted at Sinqobile Primary School, and the other in Osizweni, held at Nokukhanya Primary School.
The AUF has set goals to reach different educational institutions around the country, utilising unique programmes which will be executed throughout the year.
All these programmes are designed to promote the culture of learning to all young people of South Africa.
