Singing superstar Mathys Roets performed at Platrand Lodge on Friday night.
The concert resulted from a chat between Elize Anderson and Riaan Boshoff, who were thinking how they could get Ladysmith some top-class entertainment. One day, Elize found Mathys on Facebook and sent him a message, asking if he would come to Ladysmith to perform. He agreed and then it was a matter of selling the required number of tickets to secure the artist for a night of super musical entertainment.
The rest as they say, is history… It was a lovely night of socialising and good food, made even better by Mathys’ mellifluous voice and expert acoustic guitar playing. The singer got the crowd involved as he sat and sang catchy hits that everyone knew and could sing along to.
Elize and Riaan would like to thank the various churches, the media and everyone who gave of their time and effort to help make the concert a reality. Thanks also to Platrand Lodge, who didn’t charge to use their venue.
