Landbou High School – Teacher takes Top Achiever award
Vryheid Landbou High School teacher, Ms Sindi Khonjelwayo, voted 'Teacher of the Year, KZN' on March 18.
Ms Sindi Khonjelwayo was announced ‘Teacher of the year, KZN’ at a formal occasion in Durban on March 18.
She addressed the audience and her message to each and every learner in the country is to have a goal and a vision and to work very hard every single day! Congratulations, Ms Khonjelwayo, we are very proud to have you at Vryheid Landbou.
Greytown Rugby Festival: Vryheid Landbou u/15 rugby team participated in the Greytown Rugby Festival on March 21 and 22.
They played two matches against Treverton College and Weston Agricultural College and unfortunately lost both. Thank you for being very disciplined and excellent ambassadors on and off the field.
They were accompanied by Mr Van Wyk and Mr Moller.
Fall School: Once again, a fall school will be hosted by the teachers at Vryheid Landbou.
The matrics will attend extra classes and we sincerely thank all the teachers for the sacrifice they are making to assist learners in their preparations for the matric exams.
School Governing Body: Parents and staff will be voting for the new School Governing Body members this coming Friday, March 28.
The school then closes for the holidays and we wish all the learners a blessed time and a safe return.
Winter Sport: Wintersportwedstryde word vandeesweek gespeel teen Hoërskool Ladysmith.
Ons wens al ons spanne alles van die beste toe vir die wedstryde wat op tuisveld gespeel word.
Jeugskou: 2 Augustus word ‘n besonderse geleentheid, naamlik Vryheid Landbou Jeugskou, aangebied. Dit sal ‘n viering en ten toonstelling wees van die talente en vernuf van Landbouleerders in sport, kuns en kultuur en landbouverwante aangeleenthede asook ‘n wetenskapexpo. Daar word huidiglik hard gewerk aan die beplanning.
Opedag 2014: Vanjaar se opedag word gehou op Saterdag 24 Mei. Verdere besonderhede sal binnekort beskikbaar wees.
