Treverton’s G.A.P/Post Matric students have a very active physical and mental year.
In addition to, canopy tours, mountaineering, sky-diving and sailing, they also do a number of academic skills courses and play an important part in the management and facilitation of the College’s Outdoor Pursuits programme for the Grade eight to ten students.
Despite this hectic programme, they still keep up with the latest trends, even in the kitchen and enjoy the many “Master Chef” and other cooking programmes that are screened on television.
Recently, they joined the craze, and tackled the challenge of taking part in their own G.A.P. Master Chefs event. It was tremendous fun, and many of the results were not only impressionable but also edible.
Cooking was not an entirely new experience for them, as they are responsible for their own housekeeping and preparation of meals when on campus.
