VHS – our donors save lives

ON APRIL 16, SANBS visited Vryheid High School, as they do once each term. As a result of the learners playing sport that afternoon and not being able to donate, only 70 units were donated. However, every unit makes a difference in somebody’s life, so it was still worth the effort. Thank you to all those learners who donated especially all the first-time donors. You are all heroes!

VHS also played wintersport league against Landbou on April 16. Unfortunately, due to rain, the netball teams could not play. A second attempt later was also rained out. Results: Rugby: 1st 10 – 12; 2nd 15 – 0; 3rd 26 – 5 and u/14A 47 – 10. Girls’ Hockey: 2nd 0 – 4 and u/14A 3 – 0.

Congratulations to the following learners who were selected for NKZN Rugby, Netball and the Youth Choir: NKZN Rugby u/16: Divan de Raubizx; Theo Fourie; Samkelo Sibiya and Brian Vorster. u/18: Spe Mthetwa; Pieter-Jan le Roux; Pietie Keeve; Devin Aspden and Leon Swanepoel. Bhekuzulu Circuit – Netball u/14: Nosipho Nkosi and Andile Shabalala. u/15: Savannah Taylor.

Youth Choir: Lukhona Mpungose; Amanda Sangweni and Emil Paul.
