DHS First Team Parys Rugby tour
From March 31 to April 3, Dundee High School’s First Rugby team travelled to the Free-State to play in the Yield Parys Rugby Tournament. The team faced opponents from prestige schools like Hoërskool Kroonstad and San du Plessis in Bloemfontein.

DHS First Girls Hockey Tour
Dundee High’s First Hockey Team went on tour to The Elsie Coetzer Hockey School in Bloemfontein from the April 2-6.
DHS managed to win two and draw three matches. Surina Gregory and Soene Kolesky were chosen to play for the selector’s team in an exhibition match. Surina Gregory, Minnie Mdhlalose and Zama Bhengu were named player of the match respectively.’n Voormalige Springbok hokkiespeelster het ook genoem dat Anel Raubenheimer die beste is wat sy nog gesien het. The team grew and a sense of camaraderie is definitely felt between the First Girls Hockey and First Boys Hockey Team, who also attended the same tour.
DHS First Boys Hockey Tour
Dundee High School’s First Boys Hockey Team travelled to Bloemfontein from April 2-6 2014 to attend the Elsie Coetzer Hockey School. Our hockey boys made our school proud by comfortably beating Ligbron, Voortrekker, Tygerberg and Midstream amongst others. The only match they lost was against Pietersburg. An amazing feat for Dundee High. Larnell Nero was also named best forward/link of the tournament which is an outstanding achievement. Dundee High was ranked second out of 16 schools in the tournament.
Dundee High First Team Netball Tour
The First Netball team of Dundee High departed on March 28 to Castle Getaway outside Pretoria. The Girls had fruitful netball clinic sessions from day 2 until the last day. The team manager Mrs Madondo and coach Mrs Nxumalo also took part in some of the activities. The activities that were presented by the staff at Getaway Castle involved strategies and commitment to Netball as a sport. It was a very enjoyable tour and we have grown from it as players and coaches from Dundee High School.
DHS Sport vs Pongola
Rugby
An u/15 rugby team as well as the First Rugby team travelled to Pongola to play in their annual league fixture on Saturday April 12. The  u/15’s showed great fighting spirit in a match that was very evenly balanced, but eventually just couldn’t convert their opportunities into points and lost the match 17-7.
Dundee High Sport vs Ferrum
Rugby
The u/14 boys showed lots of guts by holding off the PUK 16 winners to a smaller margin than expected. The first team did us proud by drawing with Ferrum 25 all and displayed some champagne rugby on the day and scored more tries than the opposition, and brilliant tries at that.
Netball
Dundee High’s Netball teams travelled to Newcastle on April 16. After a day of tough competition and unpleasant weather, the u/6 and second Teams managed to beat Ferrum respectively. The u/16’s won 18-17, and the second team beat Ferrum by a sizeable margin of 25 – 08. Well done to these teams.
Hockey
Dundee High’s hockey teams played against Ferrum on Wednesday 16 April. Unfortunately the first Boys Hockey team lost with 1 goal, but dominated possession and territory for the majority of the game. The first Girls Hockey team also outplayed Ferrum and won all the one-on-one battles. Most of their shots were only inches wide and could unfortunately not convert these goal scoring opportunities into points. They eventually lost 2-1.
