On Friday and Saturday, May 9 and 10 ML Sultan Primary School participated in the South African School Choral Eisteddfod, which was held in Ladysmith.
A total of 150 learners comprising of Foundation and Intermediate phase learners participated.
The songs that they sang were prescribed and own choice categories. Foundation Phase learners excelled in both prescribed and own choice obtaining position one and two out of 20 schools.
On Saturday the intermediate phase sang the prescribed song and obtained position three out of 17 schools. The Principal, SMT and SGB would like to extend their appreciation to the educators who accompanied the learners to Ladysmith on Friday and Saturday.
A big thank you to the parents who supported their children who participated in this competition.
The highlight of the function was when Ms NC Ngcobo received an award for the Best Choir Conductress.
The school is extremely proud of her outstanding achievements.
Learners that participated received medals, certificates and trophies. Well done ML Sultan! Keep the flag flying high.
