Lasec visits Provincial Hospital

As part of a community service project, the goodies included beanies and gloves to keep the little ones warm this winter

Ladysmith Secondary School (Lasec) pupils and teachers, together with the Al-Imdaad Foundation, visited the Provincial Hospital this morning (Tuesday) to donate an assortment of goodies to the child patients.

As part of a community service project, the goodies included beanies and gloves to keep the little ones warm this winter. There were also oranges and cake to snack on. Visit co-ordinator Mrs Kaloo from Lasec says this is the second time the school has donated stuff to the hospital in the past few months, and are planning to make many more visits in the years to come. The mothers and children at the hospital were very happy with the gifts that were presented to them. The pupils also got to interact with the patients.

Hospital PRO Mr Thabo Sithole was present for the handing over of the gifts. “We would like to thank Lasec and Al-Imdaad for paying us a visit and for the wonderful gifts,” said Mr Sithole.
