Newcastle Luthando Hospice seeks support

Newcastle Luthando Hospice will be hosting a fund-raiser at Newcastle Mall on August 2.

Hospice staff will sell tea and coffee from as early as 7am on the day in an attempt to raise much needed funds. “The hospice provides care for the terminally ill and is the only hospice in the area,” said hospice CEO, Nomkhosi Buthelezi.

“We want the community to be aware of the existence of Luthando Hospice. The hospice has been up and running for a year, with most of it patients residing in Blaauwbosch. We are a non-profit organisation and would like to encourage the public to attend our events and make a contribution to a worthy cause,” concluded Mrs Buthelezi.
