Local cricketers take on the rest…

Head coach Faroek Seedat complimented his parent support team for their loyalty and enthusiasm

The fledgling FNS Cricket Coaching continues on its upward spiral of success by making waves within Northern KwaZulu-Natal cricket circles. This is not surprising, as the academy is based on a platform of sound leadership and astute administration. This is the view of its director of coaching, Faroek Seedat, who has done much to propel the new organisation with the excellent support of the parent community.

FNS was invited by Shaun Theron, the key organiser for mini-cricket in the Umzinyathi area, to participate in their annual mini-cricket festival in Dundee. Such was the enthusiasm for the festival that the director for mini-cricket from the Inland Cricket Association was present to provide support and encouragement.

There were close to 24 teams in the festival, drawn from Dundee, Glencoe and the Ulzen German School, and FNS Cricket Coaching was the only outside entrant with three teams. There was excitement, action and spills as the kids gave their best amid spontaneous support of the parents.

Head coach Faroek Seedat complimented his parent support team for their loyalty and enthusiasm: “I am very pleased that all 24 parents whose children are enrolled in the FNS Cricket Coaching joined us on this cricket expedition; they rallied around splendidly, arranged transport with ease and most importantly, co-operated without any form of negativity.

This sends out a strong message that FNS Cricket Coaching has a strategic focus that is forward-based and committed to cricket service delivery.”

It was a fun-filled day, with parents and their charges returning from Dundee with special thanks to Shaun Theron and the able-bodied team.
