The KwaZulu-Natal Youth Orchestra will be holding its second round of auditions for new members for 2015 at the Durban Music School on Saturday, November 15 from 1.30pm.
The orchestra is made up of young musicians from all around the KZN province. They are looking for young players who are learning orchestral
instruments. Rehearsals are held on Friday nights at the Durban Music School on Daikonia Avenue from 4pm to 6.30pm during school term times. Concerts are also arranged to take place on Friday evenings.
Young musicians who are interested to audition need to be between the ages of 12 and 23 , be Grade 3 music level for the Shadow orchestra and Grade 5 music level for the main orchestra. Candidates must prepare two contrasting pieces and some scales. They may play with or without an accompanist.
