World Diabetes Day is celebrated annually on November 14. Led by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), World Diabetes Day was created in 1991 by IDF and the World Health Organisation in response to growing concerns about the escalating threat posed by diabetes.
You are invited to the offices of Dr Lombard and Greaves on November 14 from 9am to 3pm to learn more about this disease and the effects it can have on your life.
There will also be free glucose testing, blood pressure testing and lung function testing at Mediclinic Newcastle.
A reflexologist and a wound care specialist will be in attendance and healthy water and the dos and don’ts of bottled water, as well as healthy breakfast options for diabetics will be discussed.
