Rotary to clothe the less fortunate

In an attempt to help the less fortunate, Rotary Club Newcastle has initiated a clothing drive.

Being able to purchase clothes and shoes at a whim is often taken for granted.

In an attempt to help the less fortunate, Rotary Club Newcastle has initiated a clothing drive.

Pradeep Singh, chairman of social services from Rotary, said the club would be collecting clothes for the less fortunate and school shoes for underprivileged pupils. “We are asking the community to open their hearts, dig into their cupboards and donate some of their old clothing to us. We can then hand it out as necessary,” Mr Singh explained.

The community can drop off clothes at Mr Singh at Top Parts or contact him on 082 443 7366. “This will be a continuous project and we are willing to collect clothing if people cannot drop it off,” he concluded.
