Shop owner assaulted with hammer
Suspects stole cash, cigarettes and airtime before fleeing.
A shop owner was assaulted with a hammer after six men robbed his business in the Dannhauser area last Tuesday.
The complainant was in his shop, when two men entered around 10am, wanting to buy cigarettes. When he gave them the cigarettes, one of the men grabbed his hand and four other men then entered the shop armed with guns with which they threatened him.
They then took him to the back of the store where they assaulted him several times with a hammer.
The suspects stole cash, cigarettes, airtime, a television, and cellphones before fleeing in a Navy Mazda 323.
