Festive cleanup for ‘Safe CBD Project’
With the imminent festive season, the project aims to safeguard entire areas of town.
After a financial hiccup, the Safe CBD project has once again taken to its feet.
Implementing new and cost effective measures, the patrols and guards resumed duties on November 15.
Meeting on Monday, the way forward was tackled, with specific attention paid to the importance of sustaining the project as the year comes to an end.
“We want to thank the community for the support they have given us, and we appreciate the continued assistance from local businesses as we aim to provide a safe shopping experience for all over the festive season,” said chairman, Yousuf Randeree.

Coming hot on the heels of reported burglaries at malls in town, the project hopes to bring customers back into the Central Business District (CBD).
