Fed up with illegal dumping in Lucknow Road

Aloe Park residents are fed up with the illegal dumping taking place in the Lucknow Road area.
This is evidently an ongoing problem.

According to those living in the area, bin bags filled with filth are thrown everywhere on open veld in Lucknow Road.

Residents say they have phoned the municipality on numerous occasions to address the problem, but nothing has been done.  “I am so tired of driving past and seeing this terrible mess.

People seem to think this is their new dumping ground, and it’s not!” says former councillor Mr Kalidin.
“The dumping causes a terrible stink in the area, which becomes even more unbearable in the hot conditions we are facing,” adds Mr Kalidin.

At the time of going to press, the municipality had not commented.
