Cricketer Phil Hughes passes away from a head injury

Phil Hughes, a 25-year-old Australian cricket player, tragically passed away earlier today from a head injury he sustained during a cricket match.Mr Hughes was struck by a bouncer bowled by Sean Abbot during a Sheffield Shield match at Sydney Cricket Ground on Monday. The cricket ball was travelling at an approximate speed of 135 kilometers per hour.

He was treated on scene by paramedics for almost 40 minutes before being airlifted to a local hospital. He was kept in a medically induced coma and underwent surgery to reduce swelling on the brain.Whilst in recovery, Phil  tragically passed away.
