Ministers reach out to needy families
Knowing that some families would not be welcoming the New Year with large lunches and sumptuous dinners, the ministers distributed food parcels and hosted a supper
In an effort to bring festive cheer to the communities that they serve, 17 minister from Umtshezi Ministers Fraternal (UMF) reached out to 85 families. Knowing that some families would not be welcoming the New Year with large lunches and sumptuous dinners, the ministers distributed food parcels and hosted a supper.
In C-Section in Wembezi Bishop Shongwe and Principal Mr JR Mgoza distributed food parcels to needy families.
“The donations were not expected and the people were teary and thankful,” said Bishop Shongwe.
On New Year’s Day Reverend LT Khanyile, UMF’s Project Manager organised a delicious supper for about 20 residents from Wembezi’s D and C sections and Mimosadale. “Most of those who attended were children and we all felt like part of a big family,” commented Rev Khanyile.
