‘May the fleas of 1-million camels infest your crotch’ – burglars get told off
For the second time in three years, burglars have targeted his business on Sutherland Street.
A businessman in Newcastle took to Facebook on Tuesday morning to tell burglars exactly what he thought of them.
For the second time in three years, burglars have targeted his business on Sutherland Street. An empty display case greeted the owner, who wishes to stay anonymous, when he arrived at work on Tuesday morning.
Tablets, laptops and monitors to the approximate value of R40 000 were taken. There was also extensive damage to the property. After contacting the police, he took to Facebook to voice his frustration.
‘To the @##@$#$ (sic) who broke into my office last night, may the fleas of 1 000 000 camels infest your crotch,’ read his post.
“I received a phone call from another businesswoman next door,” he said. “Exactly the same thing happened last year. She came in to work and saw my office had been broken into. That’s when she called me and told me.”
During the burglary in last year, thieves made off with more than R200 000 worth of goods, spending less than two minutes inside the shop.
Surveillance footage showed one of the burglars walking straight to the light switch to shed some light on their crime.
“This time they took the camera system, so we don’t even have any footage to go on,” the businessman said.
The burglars gained access to the premises through a glass door at the rear of the building. They smashed the thick glass, and quickly went about taking what they came for.
“They broke the lock on the display case, where they took three laptops,” said the owner. “We found one TV on the dustbin behind our building, and two more on the wall outside.”
It is unclear how the burglars avoided triggering the alarm system.
